Mothernode Gmail Settings – Create an App Password

If you are a Gmail user that regularly sends email from Mothernode, but you now see an error when attempting to send Mothernode email, it typically means that the Google Mail server is rejecting the credentials set-up in your Mothernode user account.

When re-entering your Gmail password in your Mothernode email settings, or checking your Google account security settings to ensure that “Less Secure Apps” is turned on, does not resolve the email sending errors, then the recommended course of action is to create a Google – App Password only to be used in your Mothernode email settings.
