Setting user accounts to automatically expire

Mothernode gives Administrators the option to automatically disable user accounts on a predetermined date. This feature is ideal when adding users who will only require term access such as interns, consultants or other third-parties who need access to a Mothernode account for only a limited period of time.

Setting an account to expire prevents administrators from forgetting to disable temporary access for short term users.

How to set accounts to expire

  1. Select the Administration Menu
  2. Click User Accounts
  3. Open the user account that you would would like to apply an expiration date to
  4. In the Account Settings section, turn the toggle ‘On’ next to Account Expires
  5. Select the Expiry date to automatically disable the account on the selected date
  6. Click Save

The shaded area on the right side of the User Profile will include Account Status and Expiration Date information:
